The Fridge is an award-winning creative and design practice founded by Tian Bai, an art director and designer based in Paris. With over a decade of professional experience across France and China, he has developed a multidisciplinary expertise spanning branding, packaging, editorial, digital, advertising, and experiential design.

His work has been recognized by some of the industry’s most respected institutions, including D&AD Awards, The One Club for Creativity, ADC Annual Awards, New York Type Directors Club, New York Festivals Advertising Awards, Tokyo TDC, Red Dot Design Award, and Asia-Pacific Design.

Driven by a deep appreciation for visual culture, conceptual thinking, Tian approaches each project as a space for exploration, seeking nuance, narrative, and emotion within the design process. His work aims to transcend functionality, shaping experiences that are both visually compelling and intellectually resonant.

We’ve made it to the finals with our project 步步自然艺术馆 — Babart Nature Gallery at the ADC 104th Annual Awards in the Typography / Lettering - Brand / Communication Design category!

Huge thanks to the jury, and special shoutout to Kip Liu, Tinghao Hu, and Mengyun Yang for bringing this to life.

The World's Best Typography® (Typography 45) is the only annual devoted exclusively to typography and presents the finest work produced during 2024 hand-selected by the fields.

December. 24It’s an honor to join SGDA (Shenzhen Graphic Design Association) this year. 

Since 1992, the founder of SGDA has initiated the first professional exhibition on graphic design, “Graphic Design in China (hereinafter referred to as GDC)”, having great influence at home and abroad and becoming the symbol one in China. After that, the graphic design industry in Shenzhen has been flourishing, with more and more professional designers, so SGDA was established formally in 1995.

September. 24I'm privileged to be invited by ECV Paris last week as a jury for the Design & Typography master's degree alongside Damien Collot, Creative Type Director at Monotype Paris.

It was a day filled with inspiring interactions and thought-provoking exchanges with exceptionally talented students. Their creativity and passion left a lasting impression on me. Thank you ECV again. Wishing them all the best in their future endeavors!
August. 24Project MYOM with Landor Paris won Red Dot Design Award 2024 Winner in Corporate Design & Identity and Typography.
October. 24The ECV is honored to renew this historic partnership with TDC, and to host the 70th edition, a major event that brings together the biggest names in the sector as well as emerging talents. The project Dump Dumplings has featured as well.

From September 23 to October 5, 2024, as part of France Design Week, the Lille campus will be the scene of exhibitions of award-winning works in various categories: posters, packaging, visual identities, sites and applications. To discover the projects of this edition and celebrate all the richness of typography at ECV Lille.

The 70th annual winners exhibition will extend its reach far beyond New York, travelling to major cities around the world over the next year. This global tour will allow type enthusiasts and designers from all corners to experience and draw inspiration from the TDC's curation of the latest typographic excellence.

The ADC Annual Awards is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world. These awards celebrate the very best in advertising, digital media, graphic and publication design, packaging and product design, motion, experiential and spatial design, photography, illustration and fashion design all with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

Neufquatre Editions has featured in
Typography 43: The World’s Best Type and Typography.

The book presents the finest communication design work from 2021 and the winners of twenty-fifth-annual typeface design competition, 25TDC. This collection is a display of what is happening in the world of design and type design.
